With 25 years of financial experience and service to the community on Watertown Township Board of Review, Brian Hurtekant has the background needed to serve the residents of Clinton County.
Vote for Brian in the Republican Primary for Clinton County Commissioner on August 6th.
Brian’s not a career politician - he’s not ingrained in the toxic good old boy’s club or connected to powerful special interests. But once he started paying closer attention to what was going on in our local county government, he decided to get off the sidelines and run for office to clean up the mess happening in Clinton County government.
Experienced Professional
With over 25 years of financial management experience, Brian is ready to ensure our tax dollar expenditures match our values - this means funding our sheriff’s department, prosecutor’s office, first responders, RESA, and agriculture.
Serve Clinton County with Integrity
Brian is committed to putting an end to the “good old boys club” that’s developed over the years in our county government. This means putting an end to secret deals and using one’s position and power for financial and personal gain.
Act as a Steward for Your Tax Dollars
Each year, the County Board hands out tens of thousands of dollars to organizations like LEAP and consultants for expensive studies done by unelected, nonresidents without any skin in the game. Brian understands our residents work hard for their money and deserve to have their tax dollars used to actually benefit our community, not line the coffers of top-heavy bureaucratic organizations.
Promote Transparency & Good Government
County Commission meetings take place at 9 AM on Tuesdays, when most citizens are unable to attend. This allows the Board to make unchecked decisions without any citizen oversight and little input. Brian will work to ensure meetings are done at a time convenient to residents allowing more engagement and transparency.
